Nala is a female standard gray born on June 11, 2002. Nala’s proud parents are both standard gray. Nala was born at Biggest Small Ranch in Missouri and then sold to Jim Ritterspach, along with her half sister. Nala comes from a long line of champion chinchillas. Her father was the Grand Show Champion at Heartland (1999) and her mother was Color Champion at the same show. Nala’s maternal grandfather won First Place at a MCBA show in Oklahoma in 1997 and her paternal grandfather was a Reserve Color Champion at W.Ohio-Pa and First at Nationals in 1997. Nala and her sister joined LUV ‘N CHINS in November, 2003 and then Nala came to be a part of FUZZY CHINS on November 28, 2003. Nala is the sweetest, most laid back ranch chin you will ever meet. She loves to sit in laps and just be loved and petted. She really likes it when she is allowed to run up the stairs; she goes up but rarely will ever go down the stairs. Her motto: “Always up”. Nala is extremely calm and passive. It took her a few days to understand treats and how to catapult off the playpen walls, but she was a quick study. She loves to be the center of attention, but not in a showy way. Nala is a very special gift to our family. She has helped us in our healing process after the loss of SYDNEY. On April 28, 2004, ROO and Nala welcomed two beautiful white mosaic boys into their family. Periwinkle Roo and Wallaby Roo can be seen in the NURSERY.
